Hi, I don't want to cause an argument or anything, but why attack vegetarians? I mean, yeah, I know we contribute to some industries, but surely more focus should go on meat eaters, that just kill anything? I mean, I personally feel like being a vegetarian is helping, but vegans attacking vegetarians makes it seem all useless.
I feel the dairy and egg industry are more horrible and perverse than the meat industry. I’d have less problems with someone who ate no eggs and no dairy but still ate meat/veg/fruit/grains.
Look into the industries you support, look at the links on my blog, there is nothing good and nothing “half-decent” about still supporting that kind of sick abuse and cruelty.
Yes you’re doing something, but why hang on to two “products” you do not need that cause so much horrible death and harm? I don’t get ya “ethical” vegetarians.
The focus isn’t about going after “meat eaters” or “vegetarians” it’s about going after the idea that we should split hairs when it comes to which animals deserve to live or die. None deserve to die. None are more/less important than others. I will continue to “go after” everyone who thinks otherwise.
Once again, if I do or say anything problematic or use language that is triggering or offensive I beg you to call me out on it and tell me what I did and how it is wrong. I am far from perfect and I’m still learning (old dog new tricks etc), I appreciate all the help you people give me.
Banking my past mistakes and using them as weapons against me in the present is slightly less appreciated. Please confront me so that I am able to change as a person for the better, and not simply demonized for it. Thank you.
please... go on Minimalist Bakers... her recent post.. sweet potato dessert superfood nachos.. I am crying
Everything about that sounds very right.
Your blog has helped me a lot to make vegan choices. I'm 17 and vegetarian (thanks to being educated by Earthlings) and I'm transitioning into veganism and going through your blog motivates me so much. Please never stop enlightening people and making a change. If you can make a change in my life, you are probably making a change in many others' as well.
Thank you so much for making that move, or even considering it. That is the entire reason I still run this blog and can look past all the hatemail and absurd flack I get here. You’re the hero here.
Male chicks in the egg industry.
Doesn’t that hurt them at all??
Yes. And the part that comes next—where they’re either ground up alive in a giant blender-like machine called a macerator, gassed, or just put alive in giant trash bags to suffocate—also hurts them. This is all legal. This is one of the primary reasons to not consume eggs.
Yay for being vegan
And most people still don’t get how eggs are cruel because “taking a hen’s eggs doesn’t hurt them”.
You're one handsome bearded beast. Whom by the way cooks and has empathy for animals. My gosh golly, you my friend, are perfect. Any person would be lucky to encounter you. Keep doing you Joshua.
HEY SO... I keep hearing about the importance of sugar being vegan but how do you tell if the sugar is vegan?! I haven't seen any boxes of sugar or bulk sugar that specifically says "vegan" on it... Are there just brands I should look for??? Do you know of any? Thanks!
I love how you assume it's a fake story because it shows 'animal rights' activists can be jerks. They actually had to be escorted off the fair grounds because they wouldn't leave the 4-H kids alone.
This one time I was at McDonald’s eating some fries then suddenly a vegan came into the restaurant and started screaming at everyone and jumping on the tables and peeing on everyone’s food and then they threw buckets of red paint on all the workers and then they went outside and shot the big M sign with a rocket launcher. Kinda proves vegans are crazy huh? Y’all crazy.
I guess it depends on the sugar used, since the ingredients in cotton candy are (I believe) “Sugar” and “dye”.
