I don’t think anyone should ever feel guilty about something they enjoy.

EDIT: AS LONG AS ITS NOT SOMETHING THAT HURTS OTHERS

I wasn't picky when I first went vegan like 2 years ago but now I can't find many healthy vegan options when I'm out and in the UK it's really hard to get hold of all the fancy alternatives and the ones that do exist are sooo expensive :(

I’m a strong advocate for eating as pure and natural as the earth provides and I avoid processed foods and “alternatives” entirely most cases. Those I consider more luxury items or junk food, not staples of any diet. Eat what grows before you eat what was crafted in some factory.

Any tips on healthy eating for a vegan who has no money and hates fruit? I've eaten chips for 4 meals this week paha

Healthy eating + no fruit?? Not even in a smoothie?

How can anyone hate the greatest gift this planet has to offer? Blasphemy!

You need to include SOME type of fruit/veg in your diet, you can’t avoid it entirely and hope for positive results to come of it.

You just are going to have to work around it, or make the meals you already can tolerate with a vegan spin, being picky and being vegan are a dangerous combo.

hello there awesome! I was wondering if u have any advice.. i am going to a family "cookout" :( and well my anxiety is thru the roof. especially since I will be the only vegan.. any tips on how to deal w/ typical carni q's/comments?? Thank you in advance ^_^

From experience, I don’t even bring anything up when I’m outnumbered 100 to 1 it’s a chore. I just say “no thank you” and “oh I ate earlier” or “not feeling well, thanks” when presented with an endless gauntlet of meat and cheese. There are a billion stupid things that can be said and asked and an equal amount of responses to each one of them, I wouldn’t even know where to start, so I just tend to leave my veganism on standby when I’m overwhelmed by family.

Probably not what you were looking for but, it’s a lot different when you’re dealing with loved ones versus idiots at school or on the internet.

What do you eat in a typical day? Or, examples of things you'd have for breakfast/lunch/dinner? Since you stay away from most processed things too I'm just curious

Smoothie or juices fruits and sometimes toast in the morning. Sometimes I make breads or bars with a lot of flax and seeds in them, I eat a lot of carbs early in the day. I drink a lot of water and eat salads at work with a load of kidney beans and chickpeas and beets and stuff. At home I like to actually take the time to cook, depending on my mood it could be anything from grilled veg and rice to pizza or sushi or I dunno anything goes at dinner time if I’m not feeling lazy. But when I want pizza I MAKE a pizza from the ground up, I don’t like to order out. Half of what I eat lately is fruit, tho. Apples with peanut or almond butter. Um, oatmeal, soups and stews. Lots of fruit though, fruit all the time.
